CQI/IRCA Starts Conducting Examination Online for Lead Auditor Courses

Lead Auditor Exams Conducted by CQI-IRCA
With Effect from Oct 2022, CQI/IRCA has taken over Control of Lead Auditor Examination once the training completed by the Approved Training Partners. Once the training is completed by the approved training partner (ATP) e.g. TCB which includes a successful continuous evaluation and full time attendance of the course , the approved training partner will upload the learners’ data in the CQI/IRCA portal which includes their names, email , training that they have attended and the dates of the training a, the country from where they attended the training. The learners will receive any mail from secure / IRCA with the link for the practice exam as well as the final exam along with a unique learner number (ULN)
Learners now will get the access to practice examination for next 30 days -can write as many as 99 Times .Within 30 days the learners must write the final exam. CQI/IRCA publishes the result within 10 business days, results are sent to the ATPs e.g TCB for TCB trained personnel, with in further 5 business days TCB transmits the electronic copy of the certificates to the individual learners or to their approved training affiliates for distribution to the learners
Please note that the training duration is 1 hr 45 minutes . Non-native English learner writing exam in English will be entitled for 30 minutes of extra time. There is further reasonable adjustment for any situations or reasons that limit the learner’s ability to write at a normal pace which is subject to advance approval by CQI/IRCA

You will need a good internet connectivity webcam and speaker always active during the exam. It’s an open-book exam and you can refer to all notes taken and during the course and the standards. However you cannot access any online information available in public domain and cannot use mobile phone or any other electronic device. You Will be required to present your photo identity, a picture be taken when you are writing the final exam. Your computer screen will have to be shared and entire time of your writing exam will be recorded by online proctoring tool used by CQI/IRCA.
There are 5 sections in this Computer Based test and all sections are mandatory. You have to complete one question before moving to the next and cannot come back to the previous answers. So manage your time well. The pass mark is 40% in each section as well as average 50%.
One important point to note is that you can take a break however you must answer the question you opened before you take the break or else you cannot write that answer and lose precious time and mark this can adversely affect the speed and flow of your writing. We therefore recommend you not to take a break and write the exam in one go unless there are some emergencies.
All questions are objective type, single choice, and multiple choice .fill in the blanks and mix & match and automatically marked by a computer program

Once you complete the exam, IRCA will provide your exam results to ATPs example TCB and then TCB will issue the Certificate of Achievement. This qualifies you to take CQI/IRCA Registration for your professional advantage in the following Grades:
- Associate Auditor-Immediately after the successful completion of the course provided other requirements are met with
- Auditor – You Need to have 20 Mandays Audit experience of which 15 days onsite minimum and also a minimum of 5 audits .Both Conditions must be met. You need to have Min 4 years of experience and 2 years scheme specific (e,g Quality Management) experience. You need not start from Provisional Auditor. Once you meet the Auditor Grade Requirements, you can directly apply
- Lead Auditor – You Need to have 35 Mandays Audit experience of which 25 days onsite minimum and also a minimum of 8 audits . You must have led 3 Audits as a Team Leader. All Conditions must be met. You need to have Min 4 years of experience and 2 years scheme specific (e,g Quality Management) experience. You need not start from the Auditor grade. Once you meet all the requirements, you can directly apply for Lead Auditor Grade Registration. This is the highest Grade
