TCB Certificated Welding Inspector

This 32 hours course (28 Hours Course and 4 Hours Examination)  has been designed to provide foundational knowledge in Welding, Symbols , Joint Design , WPS, PQR, Material testing, Associated NDT. Upon completion of this part you will  appear for an examination and practical assessment which will fulfill the first part of CQVP course and achieve TCB Certified Welding Inspector qualification .TCB issues this certificate as an IACET Accredited Provider with IACET CEU 3.2 . Please refer List of IACET Accredited Providers and Organizations and Clients Who recognizes IACET CEU.

The Learners need to be in satisfactory physical condition and the eyesight are adequate for carrying out their assigned task.. An eyesight test certificate must be submitted with the application form issued by a medically recognized person, with proof of near visual acuity unaided, uncorrected or corrected in at least one eye, such that the candidate is capable of reading Times Roman N5 fonts or Jaeger Number 1 fonts or equivalent sized letters. These letters shall have a height of 1.6 mm at a distance of not less than 30 cm with one or both eyes on a standard reading test chart.

What is target audience?

Eligibility Requirement:

Engineering Graduates in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science ,Technical Diplomas or Science Graduates (with Physics or Mathematics). Students should be preferably at least diploma holders. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any discipline with or without hands on experience is highly preferred. 1 year work experience or exposure to project, vocational training in the field of Welding and Fabrication etc. is highly recommended and preferred.

Must have good knowledge of English language with command in written and verbal communication skills as the medium of course and examination is English.

Similarities:

Difference:

  1. Significantly Higher Entry level Qualification.  Engineering  Graduates , or Technical Diploma, or Pure Science Graduates (Physics,Chemistry Maths).Persons Below this qualification  level are not eligible such as experienced Welders , NDT Technicians with no formal technical qualification
  2. Hands on Experience is highly preferred but not mandatory due to higher  entry level Qualification
  3. Practical assessment Based on ability to Identify discontinuities, accept or reject based on Code Interpretation  (Measuring for  defect sizing is not essential since an engineer , Technical Diplomas are expected to know  how to use a Vernier, Micromere and a scale )
  4. Computer Based Proctored Live Written Test. Govt issued ID for positive identification . You can write from place of your choice meeting TCB Criteria

  7. No breaks other than emergency situation, Can not go back to previous questions after any break

  9. Access allowed only to reference standard.

  11. No copy paste allowed
  12.  Taking Picture or saving questions /screenshot strictly prohibited and may cause disqualification
